Over the past few years, there has been increasing emphasis on the deployment of Near Infrared analysers onto harvesting machinery to give real-time, point-of-cropping data on biological material composition and quality. This interest has been obvious in the attendances at recent conferences dealing exclusively with this issue. Focus on Near Infrared Spectroscopy on Agricultural Harvesters provides an overview of the topic. It is a collection of articles that appeared in past NIR news issues that have been edited to produce a uniform book.

The aim of this series of books is to provide a focused look at a particular topic.
